Context, Is the Bible Gone?

Fear:

“God is a crutch, He is only there when needed.”

When you see a lightning strike, or a tornado destroy your house. Or even family members passing away. Some people have many different theories. It’s mother nature, that’s just life. Or is it something bigger, much bigger?

If you have been with me for the past few days you would know of my early post on Kingdoms, especially God’s kingdom. For there are few that find it. Well this time around, I decided to go to an even bigger problem with Christians and the bible: Fear of the Lord.

You know when you were a kid and you got into big trouble from your parents, you probably got scared from their anger towards your wrong action. Well many Christians don’t see God that way. I’m here to tell those people that they are wrong.

Psalm 2:11: Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalm 119:20: My flesh trembles for fear of you; and I am afraid of your judgments.

God is only displayed as a crutch for some Christians, we use Him in the hard times, but never Praise Him for the Good. Rapper NF put it wonderfully:

“It’s easy to blame God but harder to fix things
We look in the sky like, “Why ain’t You listening?”
Watching the news in our living rooms on the big screens
And talking ’bout “If God’s really real, then where is He?”
You see the same God that you saying might not even exist
Becomes real to us, but only when we dying in bed
When ya healthy it’s like, we don’t really care for Him then
Leave me alone God, I’ll call you when I need you again
Which is funny, everyone will sleep in the pews
Then blame God for our problems like He sleeping on you
We turn our backs on Him, what do you expect Him to do?
It’s hard to answer prayers when nobody’s praying to you
I look around at this world we walk on
It’s a smack in the face, don’t ever tell me there’s no God
And if there isn’t then what are we here for?
And what are y’all doing down there? I don’t know Lord.”

The Fear has trickled away like water in the heat. Man and Woman have forgotten God and how we should be in fear of Him, but instead now… We try to be Him, here is my next story.

I found something interesting when watching some videos on Christianity(Mostly from Megachurch Pastors). And I came past a few Pastors(I won’t mention names for respectful reasons, though you will probably figure out who it was), and these pastors would preach on something pretty shocking.

“Little Gods, that is what we are! God created us in His image. So doesn’t that prove the point? We are Gods! We are God’s Little Gods of earth!”- Megachurch Pastor.

It’s interesting, now clearly this quote has exposed Sin through Blasphemy. He has obviously stated that he is equal with God. Now think about Psalm 2:11. Serve the Lord in Fear, and rejoice with trembling. We are in no way serving in Fear, or serving at all. Serving, comes from the word Serve, which is from the Noun: Servant. Which is under authority. In our case under God. But when we call ourselves little Gods, we are no longer serving and putting ourselves under God. We are no longer Fearing God.

Now this is where Psalm 119:20 comes into effect for Christians. When we accept these Pastors preaching, we are throwing this scripture away. We aren’t even changing it. We are just discarding it from our very lives. But in my opinion, this is one of the most important verses in the Bible: My flesh trembles for fear of you; and I am afraid of your judgements.

When we listen to these Pastors, and worse accept these teachings as fact, we will start to fall from the narrow way. If we walk the narrow way, we will always fear God.

Psalm 111:10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

When we Fear the Lord, we will receive wisdom and an understanding of God, and when we put ourselves under God as Servants and serve Him as so, than that’s all that matters. We may not have thousands of dollars all a massive Church for followers to come to worship the God that those pastors portray. But if we serve the Lord with Fear and don’t equalize ourselves to His power, than let me ask you: What’s better?

“To stand with God and be judged by the World, or stand with the World and be judged by God?”

Under Fear of the Lord, I stand. Under the thoughts of Man, I fall.

Blessings.
